Louise McKinney Post-Secondary Award

NOTE: This is a nominated scholarship. Current Red Deer Polytechnic students eligible for this award will be notified via email to their Red Deer Polytechnic email between June and August. Nominees are required to complete the application linked in this email in order to be considered for the award. Students who have transferred to other institutions (including those currently enrolled in collaborative programs at Red Deer Polytechnic) must contact the Financial Aid Office at their current institution in order to discuss their Jason Lang and Louise McKinney Scholarship process.

Eligibility: A Red Deer Polytechnic student enrolled full-time in the second or subsequent year of an undergraduate program (at least 2 years in length). The student must also:

• be a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident or Protected Person in Canada (visa students are not eligible)

• be an Alberta resident (see Alberta Student Aid’s Alberta residency requirements)

• not be a Jason Lang Scholarship recipient for the same academic year

Criteria: Highest academic achievement. Student must be enrolled in a 100% program load (minimum 30 credits) in the previous Fall & Winter terms and achieved President’s Honour Roll status with a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
